The COVID-19 pandemic and associated circumstances are very fluid and evolve constantly. Tuplin is monitoring and updating our practises regularly and will continue to evaluate how to keep supporting our customers while keeping both our and their employees as safe as possible. For additional information, please see the letter below that was recently sent to subscribed customers:-.
Dear Valued Customer,
Despite the difficulties and challenges presented by Covid-19, The Tuplin Group remains fully operational. It is our wholehearted commitment to maintain consistent service to all our Customers, with respect to the issued guidance & regulations by PHE & UK Government.
As designated by Timcon & following confirmation from UK Government our staff retain “Key-Worker” status. The importance of the supply chain is not underestimated, and we have full stocks of necessary raw materials to guide us through this period of instability. Within our factories, additional measures are in place to protect the health & safety of employees, including the maintenance of adequate social distancing at all times (minimum 2 metres) and limiting unnecessary social contact. Our people are at the heart of how we operate and ensuring their safety and comfort through these times is our utmost priority. The majority of office staff are now working from home whenever possible, but we retain key presence as necessary.
We have made changes to how we ask customers to sign for deliveries by sending copies of scheduled deliveries in advance and ask that these are passed to relevant receiving staff as soon as possible. Our drivers will retain copies of paperwork, but for address & load information only. We also ask respectfully that anybody accepting deliveries from one of our drivers keep to the 2 metre social distancing rules, as outlined by the Government. We also must ask any who visit us to collect goods to observe this and also not to enter our premises but to wait outside. If we are coming to work/pack on a customer premises then it will be imperative to ensure safe working methods at all times. Customers will be contacted on a job specific basis to discuss if site work is possible in compliance with government guidelines and to mutually agree how work can proceed. Where possible, the preference will be to return goods to our own premises for completion of the necessary packing work. We realise that this process may become onerous at times, but the health of all employees must be paramount.
Please speak to your normal contacts for any concerns that you have during these uncertain times, and we ask you to inform us where possible if there is any change to your circumstances or ongoing requirements that could affect us and help us to plan intelligently.
Kind regards,
Alistair Henderson
Managing Director
